On November 28, 2010 I traveled to Springfield to compete in the Miss Capital City pageant. On that evening I was honored to be named Miss Capital City 2011. I feel so blessed and fortunate to have this opportunity in my life. I am looking forward to seeing where this journey will lead me. Thank you to my family and friends who have supported me along the way, I appreciate everything! Also, a huge thank you to my new director Rachel Johnson, who has done nothing but be supportive and give great advice since being crowned. I am looking forward to working with you this year.
Please check back often as I share my journey with you. I have always believed that the best way to prepare yourself for Miss Illinois, is to first be a fantastic local titleholder. I hope to achieve this by being the best role model, and advocate for my platform as well as our state and national platforms as I can.
